Having comedy legends Peter Cook and Dudley Moore host was a treat. They brought their classic British wit to the show, resulting in sketches that felt more theatrical and dialogue-driven. Their chemistry was, of course, impeccable. However, at times it felt like their skits were separate from the main cast, creating a slight disconnect. The “Not Ready for Prime Time Players” were still great, but it didn’t feel as integrated as other episodes. Neil Sedaka’s performance was lively and entertaining. It was a very funny show, especially for fans of Cook and Moore, but it felt more like a showcase for the hosts than a quintessential SNL episode.
