Jill Clayburgh returned to host for a second time and was just as wonderful as the first. She was a gifted actress who also possessed fantastic comedic instincts, making her a perfect fit for the show. The episode featured a very funny sketch called “Tomorrow,” with Dan Aykroyd as a manic Tom Snyder interviewing Clayburgh and a punk rocker played by John Belushi. Her versatility was on full display all night. The whole show was tight, fast-paced, and consistently funny, a testament to a great host elevating an already brilliant cast. Eddie Money was the musical guest, and he delivered his hits “Baby Hold On” and “Two Tickets to Paradise” with raw, rock-and-roll energy.
