Fred Wolf was a writer and a featured player on SNL in the mid-’90s, serving as a guest on ‘Weekend Update’ for a period. He was a solid writer who contributed to many of Adam Sandler‘s signature bits. As a performer, he had a laid-back, sarcastic presence. After SNL, Wolf found great success as a screenwriter and director, particularly in collaboration with his former SNL colleagues. He co-wrote the popular films Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2 with Sandler, and has directed several comedies. His career is a prime example of the long-lasting creative partnerships that are often forged in the writers’ rooms of Studio 8H.
