This would mark the first time Ferrell has been a regular cast member in a scripted series. He’s been a guest on shows such as The Office, but never the subject of a TV or streaming series. He’s been nominated for 20 Emmy Awards, and won six times as an actor and writer.
Since he left SNL where he had an underrated tenure as a cast member, Parnell has been part of an ensemble cast in a series format, most notably on “30 Rock” as Dr. Leo Spaceman. He’s contributed his voice to characters on more than a dozen series, including Family Guy and Rick and Morty.
Shannon has had character roles and guest roles in series previously, such as Will & Grace, Kath & Kim, Seinfeld, and I Love That For You. She’s also done lots of voice work. She earned a Screen Actors Guild award for her appearance on Only Murders in the Building. Shannon has been nominated for an Emmy for three TV series: SNL; Enlightened, and Will & Grace.
