One Saturday Night Live cast member is hoping one of Hollywood’s biggest stars returns to Studio 8H to host in Season 51.

Mikey Day told TV Insider last week that he is pulling for Jennifer Lawrence to come back to host SNL this season.

Lawrence hosted SNL on January 19, 2013, in Season 38, with The Lumineers as musical guest. That was one season before Day joined Saturday Night Live as a writer. Day became a performer on the show in Season 42. He returns for his 10th season as a cast member and 13th as an employee on the NBC show.

Lawrence gained fame for her role in the Hunger Games movies. She won an Academy Award for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, and has earned three Golden Globe Awards for her acting. She has a new film called Die My Love coming out in November.

If Lawrence were to return as host she would be a two-time host of the show. Heading into Season 51, 141 people have hosted Saturday Night Live at least twice. 74 of them have hosted two times only.

Other actresses to host SNL exactly twice include:

  • Amy Adams
  • Kirstie Alley
  • Jennifer Aniston
  • Christina Applegate
  • Karen Black
  • Quinta Brunson
  • Jill Clayburgh
  • Anna Faris
  • Dakota Johnson
  • Natalie Portman
  • Susan Saint James
  • Kristen Stewart
  • Charlize Theron
  • Kathleen Turner
  • Sigourney Weaver
  • Reese Witherspoon

SNL Season 51 debuts this Saturday on October 4 at 11:30 PM ET on NBC and Peacock. The host will be Bad Bunny with musical guest Doja Cat.
