One of Saturday Night Live’s greatest cast members is going to add a line to his résumé when Bill Hader directs a feature film later this year.
Hader will direct They Know this simmer, a horror film he co-wrote with Duffy Boudreau, his collaborator on the award-winning show Barry. Hader had previously directed many episodes of Barry, which he also starred in.
The popular former SNL cast member will also star in They Know, which will be released nationally in theaters, presumably in 2027.
SNL Rankings has Hader as the 14th greatest Saturday Night Live cast member of all-time. His tenure on the program showed off his amazing creative performances, uncanny impressions, and artistic mind. The latter has served him well in a fantastic post-SNL career.
Hader has won three Emmy Awards for performing (Barry and South Park), three Guild Awards for directing (Barry), and three for writing (Barry). He was nominated for a Peabody Award for his work on Documentary Now!
Few members of the SNL fraternity have been nominated or won as many accolades as Hader, who is showing his versatility with his writing and directing abilities. Arguably, no other former SNL cast member has been a as skilled at performing, writing, and directing.
