One of the most popular current Saturday Night Live cast members will be center stage for her first HBO comedy special next month. Sarah Sherman‘s “Sarah Squirm: Live + In the Flesh” will stream on HBO on December 12.
Sherman is in her fifth season as an SNL cast member. With her colorful dress and jovial personality, she is one of the singularly unique performers in the history of the show. Season 51 has seen her contributing a bit more in sketch work following the exits of two female cast members.
With her roots in standup comedy, Sherman returns to that form for her first HBO special. She’s known for her surreal comedy, outlandish outfits, and commitment to zaniness. Sherman cites Norm Macdonald as an influence on her comedy.
