The younger brother of original cast member Dan Aykroyd, Peter Aykroyd was a writer and featured player for the 1979-80 season. While his on-screen presence was limited, he was a key contributor as a writer during his tenure. After leaving the show, he co-wrote the film Nothing but Trouble with his brother.
