The character was a hit, but Watkins was surprisingly let go after only one season. However, her career immediately flourished. She co-created and starred in the TV comedy Benched, had a main role in the series Casual, and has become a highly sought-after character actress in films like Brittany Runs a Marathon and numerous television shows. Her firing is often cited as one of the show’s more puzzling dismissals.
