Kyle Mooney, former Saturday Night Live cast member and namesake of the esteemed Kyle J. Mooney Award, has dropped his latest music EP, titled Winter’s Wish. The collection of holiday-themed songs is available from his independent publishing company, Stones Throw Records.

Since he departed SNL after Season 47, Mooney has kept himself busy creating comedy and music. His first EP, The Real Me, was released just this last August. In 2024, he directed Y2K for A2, a comedy/disaster mazhup. He’s also periodically released comedy sketches as video clips on his YouTube channel.

All five songs on the EP can be heard on YouTube at the Winter’s Wish link. The titles include “Winter’s Wish,” “Mrs. Claus is Getting Down,” “Joy,” “That Was Christmas,” and “O Holy Night.”

A music video has been released for “Mrs. Claus is Getting Down,” featuring Mooney and Alicia Silverstone as Mrs. Claus:

Mooney himself was recipient of the Kyle J. Mooney Award a record four times. The honor is given to the SNL cast member who is most underappreciated by the NBC late night program.
