A featured player for the 2013-14 season, John Milhiser was the first openly gay male performer to be hired as a new featured player. He was a member of the sketch group ‘Serious Loner’ before SNL. On the show, he was an ensemble player but struggled to find a breakout character. He was not asked back after his single season. Since his time on the show, he has continued to act and create comedy, appearing in various web series and television shows.
