Horatio Sanz was on SNL for eight seasons, known for his aw-shucks affability. He was often the cheerful, chubby buddy in sketches, most notably as part of the ‘Jarret’s Room’ sketch with Jimmy Fallon. He also played the eccentric Cuban entertainer, Gobi. Unfortunately, Sanz is best remembered for being a prolific giggler, often breaking character and derailing sketches. While his good-natured spirit was evident, his lack of discipline often pulled focus. Post-SNL, his career has been relatively quiet, with various supporting roles and voice work, never quite recapturing the spotlight he held, for better or worse, at Studio 8H.
