Before he became famous as the obnoxious sportscaster Champ Kind in Anchorman, David Koechner was a cast member on SNL for the 1995-96 season. He was known for his broad, high-energy characters, including one half of the ‘Fagan and O’Malley’ duo of obnoxious businessmen. He also had a recurring character named Gerald ‘T-Bones’ Tibbons, a fast-talking southerner. After his one season, Koechner became a familiar face in comedies, with memorable roles in The Office, and in numerous other films and TV shows. He has carved out a successful career as a go-to comedic character actor.
