We’ve seen the last of Palm Royale. The critically-acclaimed show was cancelled by Apple TV+ following its January season two finale.
That means former Saturday Night Live cast member Kristen Wiig will be looking for a new gig. The comic actress was the main character in Palm Royale, which focused on the lives of several women at a 1960s social club and resort.
Wiig received nominations for each of her seasons in the role of Maxine. Other cast members on the show included the legendary Carol Burnett, Laura Dern, Allison Janney, and Ricky Martin.
Viewers of Palm Royale won’t have to worry about closure: season two didn’t end on a cliffhanger. But a revelation from Burnett’s character was a surprise.
Wiig spent seven season on SNL, establishing herself as one of the greatest cast members in the history of the NBC show. AT SNL Rankings, she is ranked among the top 10 cast members in the history of Saturday Night Live.
