One of the original writers of SNL, Alan Zweibel was a key architect of the show’s early voice. He was the mind behind many of Gilda Radner’s most iconic characters, including Roseanne Roseannadanna and Emily Litella, based on his real-life interactions with his nanny. While rarely appearing on screen, his sensibility was everywhere. After SNL, he went on to have a legendary writing career. He co-created the groundbreaking It’s Garry Shandling’s Show, has written for Broadway, and is a best-selling author.
