A physically daring performer, Denny Dillon was a cast member during the much-maligned 1980-81 season. She had a manic energy and a knack for creating bizarre characters, most notably Pinky, a hyperactive, New Wave-ish teenager. Despite the show’s overall struggles that year, Dillon’s talent was undeniable, albeit over the top. After her one season, she went on to have a successful career as a character actress on stage and screen. She was nominated for a Tony Award for her work on Broadway and has appeared in numerous films and television shows, including a recurring role on the HBO series Dream On.
