A tiny dynamo of manic energy, Cheri Oteri burst onto the SNL scene in the late ’90s. She specialized in high-strung, comically intense characters. Alongside Will Ferrell, she created the over-the-top Spartan Cheerleaders, a duo of endlessly optimistic outcasts. She was also known for the perpetually agitated prescription pill enthusiast Collette Reardon and the grumpy, nonsensical morning show host Nadeen. Oteri’s performances were like tightly-wound springs of comedic chaos. Since leaving the show, she has worked as a voice actress and has made guest appearances in numerous films and television shows.
