With his trademark catchphrase, ‘Yeah! That’s the ticket!’, Jon Lovitz burst onto the scene in the mid-1980s as the Pathological Liar. He was a master of creating insincere, sleazy, and utterly hilarious characters, from the conniving Master Thespian to the Devil himself. Lovitz had a unique ability to make desperation funny, and his performances were always filled with a theatrical flair. After SNL, he became a successful voice actor, most notably as the perpetually heckled film critic Jay Sherman in The Critic. He has also appeared in numerous films and television shows, always bringing his signature brand of delightful smarminess.
