Sketch comic, actor, and social media influencer Druski will reportedly host Saturday Night Live on November 7, according to Variety magazine. If the report is true, Druski will become the first person who launched his career as a “digital content creator” to host the NBC late night variety show.

Druski was born Drew Desbordes, but works under the name “Druski” via both his own Instagram account. He recently hosted the BET Awards, and has appeared in several music videos by such artists as Lil Yachty, Drake, and Fuerza Regida. He also had a brief cameo in the 2023 movie, House Party.

In 2019, Druski launched Coulda Been Records, a YouTube-based improv comedy show. Justin Bieber and Chance the Rapper are among the many musicians to appear on that program. He branched out in 2025 to debut Coulda Been Love, a YouTube channel featuring a reality dating program.

Druski is part of a wave of new entertainers who go directly to social media and self-fund and produce their own comedy programming. Appearing in most of his productions, Druski is known for playing outrageous characters. His immense online following has led to his being hired as a spokesman for several brands, such as Google Pixel, Bud Light, and the Call of Duty video game series.

Saturday Night Live has not confirmed that Druski will host Episode No. 5 of Season 52 on November 7. But several news outlets say that it will happen. The show is currently on a two-week hiatus, and will return on October 31 with host Inde Navarrette and musical guest Gracie Abrams.

If Druski were to host he would become the first person to host SNL in decades who didn’t fit into one of the categories of actor, comedian, writer, politician, athlete, business mogul, or musician. The last time someone not in one of those categories hosted the program was Miskel Spillman in 1977, when she won a contest to be an SNL host.

SNL saw comedian Shane Gillis host Episode 3 of the season last Saturday, the third time he has been in Studio 8H in that capacity. While Gillis has been selling out large arenas for shows in recent months, his shoddy and controversial monologues on SNL have led to criticism.
