Former Saturday Night Live cast member Punkie Johnson will drop her debut standup comedy special on October 21. The program will be available on YouTube at the Hartbeat LOL Standup! channel.
Johnson spent four seasons on SNL from 2020 to 2024, for Seasons 46 through 49. While she never emerged as a superstar in the longtime NBC late night variety show, Johnson was a great team player and one of the most well-liked cast members ever. Every time Punkie was on the screen in Studio 8H, you could tell how much she loved what she was doing. Her best moments came when she was a correspondent on Weekend Update.
