Last Saturday, SNL UK welcomed actor and rapper Riz Ahmed as host for its third episode. The result was a solid episode that once again showed how that show in that country has fostered sharp political and cultural humor.
In a sketch titled “A Very Confident Mistake,” contestants in a reality show vote off participants whom they fear may be the “very big crabman.” As the sketch shows, the contestants continually kick off players who are of color. The sketch is a brilliant commentary on now people can be so sure they’re not racist, when in fact they are.
